La Peluqueria is a project-place for contemporary art. Open to everyone. A living room for our people, delivery room for art..
A place to meet, chat, exhibit and support new artistic proposals.
A place where secrets are told, where the hidden is exposed , where the artists commit sins and those sins are forgiven. Where there is love for the simple and the complex. Where the work created but not shown or shown but not understood is just a creativity myth.
Where the scissors don't have rounded tips (punta roma) because we have our very own Bogotanian tips (punta bogotana). Where the shampoo smells like colours and the colours run down your neck.
Where getting your head shaved is free.
Where you can always get a hair cut.

La peluqueria, in almost two years of creation, has been involved in a number of projects that range from new musical performances to a variety of creative projects, such as an experimental wine tasting night and haircutting parties. Thanks to the versatility of the La Peluqueria's concept it has been possible to work together with other organizations to present proposals, new formats and an art lab .

For future projects we are creating the program Artistic Residences to encourage the investigation and exchange of ideas among new dynamic artists. We would like to develop an experimental circuit program (a type of pub crawl but for art not beer) with the help of other similar profit or non-profit organizations.
La Peluqueria is located in an old restored house in the historical and cultural center of Bogotá, La Candelaria.
There are five main areas in this space:
The Hairdressers. Hair cuts by Art Graduates.
Vitrina. Space to exhibit and sell designer objects by young designers.
Art gallery. Exhibition and sale of works of art by emerging artists.
Café. Somewhere to have a soft drink, coffee or alcoholic beverage.
Events and Social Scene. Evening events, presentations, projections, parties etc.
La Peluqueria is a place for emerging art, new artistic proposals, hair cuts and social events.
